Celebrating a certain young lady's birthday recently brought to mind this poem by A.A. Milne, remembered from when I was young!
When I was one, I was just begun.
When I was two, I was nearly new.
When I was three, I was almost me.
When I was four, I was not much more.
When I was five, I was just alive.
Now that I'm six, I'm as clever as clever,
I think I'll stay six now for ever and ever!
Happy Birthday big E!
